The 1891 New Town Post and Telegraph Office, four kilometres up New Town Road from the Hobart CBD, now houses four upstairs guest rooms above an integrated ground floor of café (Dispatch), retail (Assemblage Curated — gifts and homewares), and workshops in art, design and self-discovery. Owner Tanya La Paglia is a working visual artist and art therapist who runs a weekly art therapy program at the Royal Hobart Hospital. The bedrooms reference Parisian garrets — heated bathroom floors, original art on the walls. Two shared bathrooms across the four rooms.
