Catherine Field hand-builds functional stoneware at Bondi Beach, working a range of clays and natural, earthy glazes for varying degrees of speckle. Pieces are bisque fired, glazed, then taken to 1260 degrees for everyday durability, and run from pedestal and wavy bowls to faceted, carved, coiled and orb vases, dish sets and incense holders. The studio is named for the blue wren, her late mother's favourite bird. Sold at Sydney markets and online.
